I ordered a second GPU so I could run 2x GTX670 in SLI but then later discovered my motherboard model only supports Crossfire. So now I have to buy a new MB as well as a PSU, turning a simple gaming upgrade into a ball ache and a massive expense... I'm not even sure if I'll be able to use the same copy of Windows once I've rebuilt my PC. :/

You've checked your PSU requirements too right?

I had the ballache of windows 7 not booting till I reinstalled after I upgraded to an i7 and GTX680 recently, but that was new mobo cpu ram and graphics card. Pirate copy though so I just backed everything up on my linux partition and reinstalled another pirate one YARRRR :)

Yeah, I will probably need a new PSU.

The upside is I'll probably be able to build a second computer once I have a spare motherboard, I might even install Linux on it.

I'm not my GTX 680 has to be RMA'd turns out it has graphical artifacts on basically every game but DayZ I just didn't notice because I don't play anything else. Bought Crysis 3 yesterday only to release I can't play it till I send the card back :(

Yeah, it's pretty awesome.

I was really surprised that it still booted first time after installing new motherboard, PSU and second GPU. Had a bit of trouble installing drivers and my windows licence becoming invalid but it's all sorted now.

I'm getting 80-120FPS playing Battlefield on ultra settings and 250+ FPS on Counter Strike. :)

I haven't properly tested it with DayZ yet but I did hop on for a quick go. With low video settings I was using from before I was getting 50-60 FPS in Cherno, whilst in combat.
