Who Killed Who?

I was talking to a friend of mine and we should really look into getting this working.

Once we are recording who killed who, I will extend the stats page.

Also, I will include who your nemesis is and who you are nemesis to.

It would also be awesome, after a SG event, to log onto the site and see the results of that game. When I died it would be cool to see who it was that murked me. I found out eventually, but a quick stats page would be really cool to view.

But yeah, I can code it once the database is recording everything.

As I've said before basebuilding breaks kill messages. I've never managed to get to the bottom of what exactly causes it to happen despite wasting god knows how many hours trying.

For events I can probably set something up once I have the BB removed from the events server code. I doubt I'll bother with SQL when I can just log it to text though and show the messages in game. Setting up the SQL kill messages is a lot more work and whilst its something I've always wanted to do, as you already know I can't do it when we are running basebuilding.

I don't like this to be honest :| I would take the other road and remove kill messages alltogether so people have to check who they killed and if the target is really dead. For events it's another story. Just my two cents.

yeah for in game, i dont mind if i never see when i person is killed. thats how it is in dayzero and its awesome! just last night we got fucked up because there was no kill message. loved it. but for stats tracking on the main server would be good. if its impossible, then its impossible.
