Problem for me with dayzero is the purpose of interactions. Purpose should be to gain something from helping someone out, or doing anything else than shooting someone in the head wich gets really boring. Dayzero only favors gunfights and not interactions. |

I joined a server called UKSS, its pretty vanilla. But not supervised whatsoever. probably hard to get admin help. Was there for maybe 10 minutes and watching russian sidechat spam. I guess thats not supposed to happen on a server located in the UK. Makes me think the scripters has more freedom to do what they wish. |

Most servers are like that unfortunately, the only time their admins will even be aware of anything is when they are in the game themselves using hacker scripts like - http://dayzantihack.com/. The admins don't really have any understanding of SQF or even SQL, and can only do things if there's been a tool created for them to do it. Many of them only have servers so they can exploit all the hacker scripts infistar includes for "admins" in his antihack. I spent a large amount of time building my own tools for myself to monitor and track all kinds of things at all times, the only other servers I am aware of that also do that sort of stuff are zombies.nu |

And im pretty sure the SE2 server is populated just because its populated. |

Trying out DayZero... Lots of things to get used to... Only problem i have is no basebuilding. It adds a new dynamic of PvP and some of the things they say don't make any sense at all... |

As far as i know the base building system used in ZeroSurvival was originally developed by a guy named Daimyo. Maybe he runs his own server? Anybody got some info on that? Seaweed maybe? |

The problem with dayzero is, it doesn't contain any crafting (except modular weapons), it has no improved food/drinks system (you can gulp down 12 MREs instantly), you don't need to boil water, zombies are not a real threat... It's basically PVP without any real survival game. And what bothers me the most is the lack of 1,2,3 hotkeys for switching between weapons. Which would be real handy as they fixed the infinite ammo bug (which is one of the best features in DayZero!) |

The melee weapon handling is a giant pain in the ass but since zombies are softcore i went to just shooting them. Appart from that my hatchet is out of ammo anyway XD. |
