Had a blast yesterday. Me & the boys were doing normal ops most of today as well.
Hopefully this gets a few more people playing normal Arma a bit more especially for those who had a virgin run it yesterday.

Yeah same, I fixed some bugs on the main server but all I wanted to do was play more missions :D

For those of you who bought ARMA just for dayz you're missing out!

Yea found another mod that goes well with Blastcore as well

I'll do a quick demo and upload it to my youtube and post it here.
Adds some nice fire and smoke effects and also flocks of birds you can startle if you are moving haphazardly giving away your position.

I tried JTD + DayZ earlier, couldn't get it to work properly when I tried earlier with BE off only thing I haven't tried yet is running the whole mod server side as well as client. This would cause problems on the main hive for people without CBA and JTD though. It'll be enabled next time we play an ARMA 2 mission though definitely.

Yea pretty sure any other players can startle them as well. Yea the fire sounds do get a bit insane, going to take a look in the config files for the script and see if they can be turned down a bit.

i like the idea of birds getting startled, but its somewhat of an unfair advantage if other players dont have it. if its on the server, i will install it because i know others will do it and i want to keep everything on a level playing field.

Ok so I got it running on dayz, this mod is fucking awesome

Really want to run it on the main server, but not sure I can put up with the waves of people not understanding the error that'll pop up if they login to the server without the mods installed....

Yeah I think I am going to look into it, still have to catch all the battle eye exceptions before I can put it on the main server I definitely want to though. Crazy how awesome the explosions and fire look with this + blastcore, I can't stop blowing things up right now :lol:

I can do do a quick vid up on how to use six updater and properly launch, it could be as simple as linking a guide and links to the download when people sign up for the whitelist.
I think the only hitch would be getting the existing users who don't check the forums up to date.

It has to be run both server and client side I'm pretty sure so it would be a required download for everyone.
