Next Monday (November 4th) it will be exactly 1 year since I first setup this DayZ server. Originally we were called "Ray Mear's Extreme Survival" (any of you remember that?) for our first month or so and were hosted in the US. After the first month I switched the hosting providers and we moved to Europe and the name ZeroSurvival.

It's been a great year and one of the things I like the most is that many of our original players still play here. From the members list I believe Deathdude Sharpy and Coffmad are our oldest members still active today (forum reg Dec 16th) closely followed by Sirus and Killswitch (Dec 30th). Clan SFG signed up in early January and are some of our most active and dedicated members still today. More than 20000 character deaths later and here we are today

I would like to do some kind of server event to commemorate the occasion. Unfortunately I can't guarantee the large amount of time and planning that goes into a large organised event like a Survivor Gamez. Most of my time outside of admining at the moment is being spent on the new basebuilding plugin. However I would definitely like to do something more casual for all who want to participate.

We can spawn in gear and have a big deathmatch or capture and defend a location or come up with something more original, a few smaller events is the idea rather than one big organised thing. Put your suggestions in here and let me know if you are available. We can either do the event on Saturday the 2nd or Sunday the 3rd, so let me know which date would be best for you.

Same here, what about a few events over the course of a few hours? Vip escort, TS defending Zub, Rog, Dv castle or Skalisty or maybe something along the lines of placing a tent in the middle of cherno with a satchel inside, the objective is to get the satchel and blow up an objective in the area first team to do it wins. Im sure there are some pretty inventive minds in teh community who will have some good ideas.

I seem to remember the original name of this server, but it was changed before SFG registered? Maybe another server im thinking of!

Im up for an event whatever it is. Perhaps something where we all have to work together as opposed to against each other? Escape Chernarus springs to mind although player numbers are limited.

I think one of the reasons I tried this server was because of the ray mears name, not sure how long ago it was that I signed up though.

SFG sure are on a lot. And very nice even with my propensity to talk shit to them (21 days alive, must do better SFG )

One "game" i have played which is fun for about half an hour is everyone gets teleported to x city and has to scavenge and then kill everyone else.

On another server before I played here, they had an event on Cherno docks. 5 guys protected the docks and everyone else had to attack and steal a truck full of goodies, no snipers were allowed.

Sorry guys the party is going to have to be postponed for a week. Next weekend I'l; definitely have time to organize one I'll post details here and in the gameserver next week.
