Hello guys,

We are planning on doing an event next weekend during one of the evenings.

The only thing we need are suggestions, we are a bit bored of survival games so rather not do one of those :)

There is currently a king of the hill topic running, so the owner of that idea could post it in here together with new ideas from other people.

If a suggestion has been made I'll try to see what is possible and what is not.

So throw your ideas out here :)

Personally I like the idea of a "Tour de Cherno". You spawn like 25 bikes somewhere and let 25 people drive a race (eg. from kamenka to berenzino). The winner gets a price( you decide what i guess^^) and after that the bikes vanish.

had an idea of some sort of teamfight/VIP

One team (soldier camo) has to escort a VIP (ghilli) to a certain location. The other team has to stop them. The game ends when the VIP reaches the target or gets killed. Could be different setups.

One example would be having 3-6 (depending on server population) guards with high military gear and the VIP against the whole server, all as freshspawns.
Starting location for team 2 random starting location for team 1 will be announced 5 minutes after start. Target would have to be on the other side of the map.

Any thoughts on this?

1) Hunger games (ones where you can actually go hungry and need to survive in more than just a 'don't get shot' sort of way ): I already suggested hunger games style event (as opposed to what you guys considered survival games in the past)

2) Top Gun : Also an event that might be fun now that biplanes have guns again , is an aerial dog-fighting competition

3) Coast of death: Select teams must transport precious cargo along the coast road from Kamenka to Berezino or vice versa. each team has at least 4 members to help defend the vehicle or leave some to setup ambush or roadblocks along the road and since several teams are racing to the finish line on opposite ends they also need to destroy the competition.

4) Fox Hunt: each team has limited amount of time to try and kill a select target in an enclosed maze-like area (for example chernagorsk) ,
the escapee needs to get to an extraction way-point to either escape to the next stage or summon his friend and become a hunting party.
a player who lost his teammates become an escapee.
in the end of the tournament it would probably be 2 players racing to find and secure the same waypoint in a city stage.

5) Game of Thrones (Im not sure if its possible to end in 2 h time, so you can reduce the scope to a smaller area of the map):
    -"The Wall " : Create a giant wall of Containers between the north mountains and the rest of the map with only few climbable keypoints.
    -"Kings/Defenders of the Realm" : Select players are voted 'king' of a specific city and each of them have the goal of ensuring that their City is the only one that survives in order to win. each king leads a a small team of players that he can share the reward with if he wins(players can also betray him and join another king who offers more of his share)
    i.e : King of Chernogorsk needs to ensure that Chernogorsk is the last city standing.
    - "The Crows": Players tasked defending 'The wall' are 'crows' , they have military offroad, chopper and base building supplies (that they can use to add to the fortification of the 'The wall' .
    each crow is banished to defend the wall by a specific King and gets rewarded for each 'wildling' killed if that king's city is the one to survive.
    -" Wildlings " : Players grouped north of the wall are "wildlings" they have military offroads, base buiilding supplies and satchel charges and their goal is to move south of the walls to the cities and destroy them (satchel charges destroy buildings). they win if all cities get destroyed.

This could be alot of fun.

Do able, but will be very hard for the fresh spawns balancewise I think, we did an event before where 2 teams were fighting eachother trying to capture weedman.

Yeah, good idea, do able aswell

Hard to execute / admin + horrible lag if we do it in cherno with 20 people :)

Putting up a big wall of containers is a pain in the ass and would take us over 10 hours probably^^, can't think of another way of putting a wall up immediately

Do able yeah, seems fun, could make the kings hero's and have 3 city's with 5 players for example.

Blowing up buildings is a weird and unreliable thing in the arma enginge, don't think this would work

For now I think this idea is the best / most fun one

Depending on how many people we have we would divide them in teams. To go more in depth :

Reaspawns? I would suggest a 30 minute repawn timer for people who die, think this timer would balance the time for dieing / being able to come back.

Cities? Depending on how many people we have I would suggest around 5 city's. To try and balance things out I suggest Pogorevka, Novy Sobor, Polana, Mogilevka and Vybor.

Team size? Thinking about 10 for the moment

Starting gear? Farmer gear / low tear cars in the cities

Forcing people not to camp with all in their city? We'll spawn in chopper crashes with better gear / vehicle drops between the cities enforcing it if people want better guns to go out.

as for my idea i was sorta expecting this to be a 6 vs 30 or something so it shouldent be so bad for the freshspawns but i like the king city thing aswell

ill nominate ICD, TNS and friends as a team XD

Yeah, we would indeed sort the teams out on forehand, but first want to have an idea with everything covered :)

Scarmbling entirely random teams could also be alot of fun, playing and teaming up with people you normally wouldn't play with.

Make it 2 rounds, perhaps? one round with premade teams, and one round with scrambled/random teams.

I have been working on idea. It would basically end up being a showdown between squads split up into groups of about 5 with lots of cool "mini event" stuff happening in between. Will get back to you all tomorrow.

Transport: A suitcase spawns in a random palace on the map, as soon as it is picked up all players get an update on the position and the destination. Winner is the player that gets the suitcase to destination. No official teams but players can help each other.

Not sure about vehicles.

I have an idea.

Put the biggest clan on here (in numbers) in a fortress style base in a flat field in the middle of the map. Maybe allow them to build this base beforehand to their spec. ONLY it has to be enterable on one side (so that the last men standing can loot it).

Put every other clan in its own quadrant about 5km away surrounding it.

No vehicles other than bicycles with one bicycle assigned to each player.

First clan member to get to something (like a littlebird) which is located in the middle of the base/fortress; their clan wins the game and wins something to use in the normal server from then onwards.

But...

It is an all vs all fest... so not only do the quadrant clans try to kill the fortress clan but they have to kill each other too, to suceeed. For fairness, spawn them all in equal distance from each other and from the fortress and make sure there is no advantage for different clans such as spawning them on higher ground so they get to the fortress first.

Put all clan members on teamspeak and lock them into their specific channel.

To avoid trolls and hackers, run a script that requires you to be in teamspeak to play on the server - if there is any dodgy play just ban them from TS = ban from server too.

Ban one shot kill Sniper rifles (like AS50 etc). Make it so skill is required to kill at long range (m24 maybe?)

What do you think? Like king of the hill but with one defending clan + 4,5,+ other clans all working as a team within themselves but hostile to anyone else.
