Post subject:  YOUR RIGS - Questions and Answers

Hello!
Introducing this topic:
Its not meant to show off or tell everyone how big your ballz are.

This is meant to compare and discuss frame issues!

16gb corsair vengeance cl9 1600mhz RAM
gigabyte z87-hd3 mainboard

I run this game at following settings:

All Details: Medium - High
Shadows: Off cause of gameplay ( yeah i know sux )
ATOC: off cause of same reason
AA: medium
Post Process: Off cause it disturbs
Viewdistance maxed (server limits)
Resolution 1080p (both)
Vsync: off cause i think its strange

I run the game at constant 40-80 frames. (Cherno 40. Countryside sometimes 80)
Mostly around 60

Im interrested in your rigs!

Quad-Core Q6600 at 2.4GHz , 2GB Ram , Asus P5 motherboard(32 bit) Intel 4 chipset, Realtek HD audio , Nvidia Gforce 9600GT(512mb), CM Sphere CPU fan.

Arna2 Settings: Very High(1280x720) at ~30 FPS but with a bunch of options turned off because so many other people turn them off.

I think your Laptop needs better cooling solutions(its often the problem with Laptop performing lower than its spec)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz - Stock cooler and no overclock currently as I'm lazy
P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 Mobo
8GB DDR3 1333 MHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 680
4.5TB Software RAID 5 Array for linux storage/backup (4x 1.5TB drives)
1.5TB HDD for shitty windows + games
128gb SSD for linux

Razor Blackwidow Mechanical Keyboard (if you don't have a mechanical keyboard you suck)
Logitech G500 Mouse
Sennheiser PC 320 Headset (I had a logitech G35 and it broke in like 2 months, fuck logitech never buying from them again)
Razor Sphex mousemat (I love this thing)

My graphics settings:

Image

I get around 50-90 FPS when not in cities, never lower than 30 in Cherno/Elektro even when recording.

ARMA FPS comes almost entirely from the CPU, with this CPU and my old graphics card (GTX 460) my performance is almost the same as it is now.

My laptop has an i5 and just about managed 20 FPS with some tweaking but I would rather die than ever have to play the game on it. It's a nice little laptop though and serves me well - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SVP1321M2E ... B00DSO3WQY

Intel i5 2500K @ 4.2GHz
EVGA GTX 670 2GB
Asus MAXIMUS V GENE
8GB Mushkin Blackline Ridgeback
SSD Mushkin Chronos 120GB (Win7)
HDD 500GB (Games) | 1TB (Mainly music and unsorted files) | 2TB (Films, TV Shows, more unsorted shit)
Corsair AX750
Open water cooling

Textures Very High
Shadows Normal (When flying)
Terrain detail normally very low but sometimes higher when trying to snipe through glass (thinking about keeping it higher though)
HDR Very High at night.
Everything else disabled or very low.
(Might upload a cheeky screenshot later)

I normally have 50-60+ when playing away from big cities but currently when I try to record I get hit down to 21 or so which sucks.

Its sick even your hardware doesnt manage to get more than 30/40 in Cherno e.g.
Mine does neither. But i got the same framerate. Crazy XD
In woods i get 50-80. Depends on actual settings.

Sorry I typed that and got distracted.

I actually struggle in Arma 2 even with everything on LOW I only get around 30fps in Cherno and around 50 in the country side... but I do put draw distance all the way up. I think I hit vram limit :(

OS: Ms Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Board: MSI H77MA G43
Power: BeQuiet Straight Power 480W
CPU: Intel i5-3450 @ 3.1GHz (no OC)
Video: Asus HD 7870 2GB
RAM: 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Headset: Logitech G35
Monitor: Acer 21''
HDDs: Intel SSD 120GB OS+Programs, Seagate 2TB 5.9k Backup, Seagate 2TB 7.2k Data
Accessories: TPLink Wireless USB Adapter, Cherry mouse, Cherry keyboard

I'm not sure about the FPS after the 1.8.1 patch, not enough testing time yet.
But before, i was playing with (vsync enabled) 40-60 fps. Rarely the fps dropped below 40 for a few seconds, caused by Acronis doing a backup.

My preferred video settings: (I use to change the object details to low when clearing a hei crash ;) )
