So yeah, new to this server, and im really enjoying it, but tonight something very strange and terrible happened to me.
I had been killed by bandits claiming to be friendly on a couple of occasions in or near cherno during the course of my daily binge play and decided to abandon all faith in humanity for a while. So as I geared up in cherno for the 3rd time I spied a bandit. Rather than do the cautious thing and introduce myself, I just shot at him. I hit him, but he ran off. 30 seconds later I was kicked.

My question is, is this the usual behaviour on this server? Will I always be kicked if i shoot at a bandit 1st? Or must I always announce my presence to the man in the ghillie suit carrying the 750rpm automatic weapon? My assumption is they have that headscarf for a reason and both times I know I wasnt killed for my gear as I had none.

Anyways I apologise for the rant, Ive just never been kicked from any server before and was a bit taken back by it.

No that shouldn't happen, I know sometimes it does when the server has a dodgy connection I've never had it but I've seen it drop players before like that. You will always have a message box if its an admin kick.

If it's a battle eye kick you'll get a message with a script restriction number let me know those because I can usually fix them. Other times it will be because of a signature check on your client not matching for files (can happen for various reasons) I think in these cases you don't see the kick message either but friends in game will.

On the upside I ordered our new server this weekend, I will be setting it up next week hopefully then connection issues like this will be gone for good

Cant wait! All in all, Ive been havin a great time. Earlier that day I even had a few encounters that didn't involve gunfire! Didn't know that was possible back when I was playing on public servers! haha Anyways I'll be sticking with this server me thinks from now on, it seems to have exactly what I want DayZ to have.
