Well, it's just 480p. It could have been recorded on a Game Boy and wouldnt look any better.

Upload the original file don't re-encode it, or use better settings when you do

Youtube wouldn't accept the original file for some reason which i am incapable of explaining. It might be related to me using Windows moviemaker, idk.

Are you sure it wasn't washing machine?

Anyway that reminds me when I had tried to explain what type of sauce one English guy was eating when he visited Poland. I confused potato with tomato, and I was explaining him hard that he eats potato sauce...

When it comes to quality, maybe try converting the video with some other program before you upload - if it does that, the impact on quality won't be that huge (I understand that you recorded that material in your screen resolution and you have the original file). You may also try converting it with movie maker actually, but don't use build-in upload to YT option.

Yeah seriously kill windows movie maker in a fire and grab a pirate copy of sony vegas or something else more useful.

I use pitivi on linux for my editing - http://www.pitivi.org/

If you really want to still use windows movie maker I recommend at least grabbing some different presets for exporting to allow you to do 720p/1080p and at higher bitrates.

Handbrake.

Convert to 1080p/720p mp4.

Try uploading to youtube.
