Just to let you guys now ICD is now mainly playig on 2 servers:

Zombies.nu SE2 which is DayZero, first peron only, no death messages pretty hardcore PvP but sadly no bases.

And Gr Ovrpoch #2 which is a very new Overpoch server with rediculous amounts of weapons (which might still get fixed as the server is under development) and all that other Overpoch stuff there.

Since this server is quite new there are not may bases yet and we are working on getting our own base up.

While all those heavy weapons might be a bit much they also make for fun moments. Yesterday I was hovering infront of the ATC on NEA in my MV22 asking a guy if he would mind if I land my baby and sell it, feeling pretty save behind that think glass, just to see him raise his gun and give me a clean headshot crashing my plane togather with my corpse =)

Sweet guess I'll see you guys on SE2.

Overwatch and Epoch are just arcade mode, not fun for me at all. Don't understand the point of any of it. The stupid traders invalidate all need for looting, or searching for high value vehicles and the safes are even more OP than our basebuilding was.

If you find a server with a decent loottable, decent playercount and a decent basebuilding system let us know =) till then we try to work with what we can get even though that sadly means 50cal on the coast.

You won't find that anywhere as far as I'm aware. There's a few people who tried to get the basebuilding system we had working but no one has even figured out how to install it properly.

Hardcore Epoch/Aftermath servers don't really exist, because the mods are all based off old dayzmod code with hundreds of vehicles, easy zombies, easy loot tables, and a loot spawning system which is basically set to fill every single loot point with all the loot, all the time.

Most of these "admins" don't even know how to customize the things necessary to change loot or zeds. If someone does find a server that isn't like that definitely post it here.

I don't really mind things like 50 cals and armored humvees etc, IF they are hard to find; like say a DMR used to be on ZS. Whereas on epoch everyone just has the best gear all of the time, because they have a base constantly full of it, or they can just purchase it from traders, or simply loot a single firestation or barracks. To me the gameplay isn't any different to the servers where you just spawn with a DMR and Coyote backpack.

Hopefully we'll see you all on SE2 or the SA in future good luck :)

Benuar i also found a new server in the past few days :D

TWC DayZ 1.8.1 Server #1: 81.19.218.228:3502

Started up like 4 days ago, Vanilla, Has same basebuilding and by word-of-mouth has the same BB as Seaweeds.

Zero pop, just came online, and needs fresh new bases built and some tweaks to make it close to ZS :D

I would give it a 7/10.

I would say this is the closest to ZS as we could get atm, but might need to suggest some changes esp. if we can pop the server with RD, FP, ICD... also has TS so we could work with admins maybe?

I tried that server for couple of hours. Its indeed as close to ZS as it can get at the moment. If the admins on the server respond to "our" needs, the server has a really good potential indeed.

What I experienced is that there is waaaaay too much custom buildings, like an odd placed firestation at polana factory fex. Theres like 5-6 barracks on nea, and one of them arent even able to enter.
Loot table on that server also needs tweaking, as its rediculous to just spawn in berezino, run to nea, and have all the best gear you can have insta.

But I agree. Ive tried several servers since ZS went down, and I find this server to be the best atm :)
MM might pop up there as well. Ive even seen RTB been trying that server as well.
But I guess it depends on the community there, and how active the admins are.
If lots of players from ZS moves to this server, im sure MM gonna join too.

Well we gave up playing on TWC. They would have to change a lot to make this server playable, and their community is not very open for these changes. Voting only for few changes from huge list, their players (which is no more than 10 i guess) were not very positive about those. One even said "if it wasn't hard enough to play 1.8.1 already"...

I think much more promising would be a vanilla server which wants to add basebuilding.
For now anyway we (me + ST) found great alternative for us.
We play hardcore overpoch server, where traders are not safezoned and loot is quite low for an epoch/overwatch. Ofc still there's far more vehicles and good weapons than in ZS, but gameplay is really hard. Personally i didn't manage to build single wall of my base after a week even though I tried hard. Generally gameplay is different but very enjoyable and for me somehow harder than ZS.
If anyone would be intrested in trying out something new, server name is: Mustard Packets DayZ Overpoch.
It's founder is BarbaricMustard (youtuber), but there's more admins as far as I know and server seems to be run nicely by them. Personally I recommend this server (need epoch and overwatch to run it).

Hey! Regards from KR to every clan we played with on ZS! shame its over.

On the other hand, is there anything more i need to download beside epoch/overwatch to join that server? When i try to join it blasts some error about mission files and arma goes back to main menu. No idea what to do.

TWC server requires of downgrading arma so i didnt bother;P

All you need is Dayz Epoch and Dayz Overwatch. Then you have to lauch both these mods at startup. If you use dayz commander, just put the following code in settings->additional launch parameters:
-mod=@DayZOverwatch
Make sure your Arma is running on version 112555 (you can downgrade it by DayzCommander), as the server is still running this version.
Btw. many of the bugs I came across in DayZ mod, that were thought to be 112555 bugs, are not visible in Epoch/Overwatch. Mainly there's no performance issues, which was pain in ass on every DayZ 1.8.1 + arma 112555 server. But now, when I play on epoch/overwatch server with much less issues than I ever experienced in DayZ, I start to believe, that actually the most spoit thing between DayZ 1.8.1 and Arma 112555 patch, was DayZ 1.8.1... Moreover I already played on servers that upgraded to even newer Arma patch, and performance was even worse than on 112555+1.8.1...

EDIT.
And you don't need to uninstall anything to play TWC. You can have all of these epochs, overwatches and vanillas working separately. I guess all you need to play in TWC, is downgrading Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead to 1.62 patch in steam (if they didn't change it yet).

Newest changes to TWC Server 1. Even though i love my ICD guys, i just can't get into Overpoch as much :/

Latest updates now live on server 1:

--- Auto Refueling at gas stations removed
--- Satchels and grenades removed from all future vehicle spawns
--- future vehicle spawns invetories modified
--- approx 30 additional vehicle spawn locations added (Thanks Joe!)
--- Vehicles respawn regularly through TWC control panel
--- Screen does not shake if you need painkillers etc - Fixed
--- Crosshairs now turned off
--- Player Map Marker now turned off
--- Loading Screen Graphic updated
--- AI Missions will only stay on the map if you don't die. --- INTENDED
(Too Many JIP resyncs per mission, per player if mission syncs occur @ login)
There are 12 possible missions that will continue to cycle, Just wait until the next mission comes up. Additionally if people leave the mission zone without completing the mission it will be removed and the timer for a new mission begins again. If you are the only person at a mission and you die, you technically left the zone and the mission will clean up.

Still to do:

Three birds with one stone here...
---1. Correct wonky additional buildings ---2. Remove Zombies at powerlines (Get classname for powerlines whilst map editing to locate classname to remove as a possible Z spawn)---3. Remove Stock DayZ road debris (Cant just remove road debris, Removes all DayZ added objects such as stary medical tents etc. Removing debris needs to be incorporated into the map editing whilst fixing the wonky buildings to replace like for like objects not desired to be removed)

I didn't see you trying out our hardcore overpoch server Tork :P No Wonder why you can't get into it.

Main problem about TWC is their map. Far too overloaded. Moreover many buildings simply make no sense at all. They didn't seem to want to change it at all. And even if now they change their mind it's simply too late, they will have to build their own community because ZS community is already badly splited.
I doubt I would ever go back to dayz vanilla, even with basebuilding, simply because epoch modular base building beats it in almost every aspect, and that this mod is lag free. While vanilla devs are trying to prove that arma patch is spoilt, it works great on other mod, strange...
Another problem of TWC is that there is literally almost no community. Basebuilding without it is just pointless and I find it more enjoyable to build things with LEGO. Moreover, they changed basebuilding in a way that it makes even harder for brake-ins. With their amount of loot, I can have Marian's base within 2 weeks. Who will be able to break it?

Maybe Seaweed can give them some tipps too? Now that he has so much free time. I dont know if its good for him :P
And on the other hand: if we use their forum ( a lot of us ) then they will continue changing things which we recommend. Im sure they would like to have players on their server!

Give it a chance. But we must all be active in forum and maybe on server :D

this barbaricmustard overpoch server is fucking hillarious! MM is allready in action! You guys should join it too!
Theese AI missions gives so much action to the game, its insane. Once there is a mission on the map, above half the server runs there. its pew pew from all directions.
Teamleader from MM need to clear comms alot.

Another wave of updates with almost every suggestion accomodated and many more bugs fixed. I'm going to leave the server setup as it is for now and declare ourselves successfully ported to 1.8.1.

Okay dear ZS community:

Please be so kind and pull the stick out of your ass and join TWC server.
It feels almost like ZS now. It never reaches ZS of course but now it has almost every single clue ZS had.
Basebuilding system is fully workin on TWC now.
RD said they will have a closer look to the server next days. I really really beg you all to join the server!
All it needs is playing people everythin else is just fine at the moment.
TWC said to me further changes can be implemented if the community says so.
So we could form the server like we want. Only thing you need to do is play on it and give feedback!!!
