I've liked the look of Dayz for some time, and picked up Combined Operations when it was on sale recently. I haven't put that much time into the game as of yet, but it's been thoroughly enjoyable as I've begun to understand where to go to gear up and all the little things of surviving and dealing with Zs. I guess I'm something of a loner, having only seen one other person in ~15 hours, though Fq once attempted to snipe me (evasive running FTW). I guess that's mostly coz it's taken me so long to get equipment I'm happy with, and because I'm averse to being shot on sight if I go into a city or get too close to other players... however it'd be cool to find other people who might be up for a walk in the woods some time.

I found out about this server on Reddit, and it's the only one I've spent much time on. Seems to have a really cool community with so many regular players. Dayz doesn't quite have the utterly bleak atmosphere that I so love in the STALKER games, but I'm learning to enjoy its pleasures!

welcome to the site/server. im sure you will find like minded players here and at the same time find many who want the opposite! thats what makes this game so cool. youre free to do what you wish. no rules, no laws (well besides no hacking). ultimate freedom! but watch out for those asshole bandits. you can usually tell who they are because they have a negative humanity in their forum stats to the left
