Greets, Eberteby Yeah its not running at all well tonight, I think you will probably get in after the restart in 10 minutes. I am looking at new hosts still trying to find one I can afford that has good performance. |

I see, if I may ask, how much does it costs for a good host each month? Wondering how much it would cost the community because on my last server almost evreone just donated a few euro's each month and that worked fine |

The really big hives that run at 60/60 players for 2+ instances are running on hardware that would cost upwards of £100 ppm. The host we are on currently costs me about £50 ppm however it is only a VPS and disk transfer and latency is not reliable. |

I see, Don't know anything about VPS / disk transfer what so ever but yeah, mayby you could make a poll and see if people are willing to donate in return for a better server, I don't know what your opinion is on advertising the donate button more but it could be an option to help you out. |

I know a lot of hives offer loadouts and stuff like that for donors which generates a lot more money. That is not something I have ever liked though I wouldn't want to offer people an advantage of any sort for donating. I might put a message into the server messages about donations for new hardware though. I am working on it though, I'm glad to see players still sticking with us despite the troubles when the player count gets up. I will hopefully have things resolved within a week or two. |

Glad to hear you dont want to go towards the custom loadout pay to win route. I'm more than happy to keep putting some money in each month if I can afford it but that would put me off immediately. There is always the possibility to add people to a Donator rank on the forum though, maybe a purple name or something. Some times merely recognition through aesthetic means is enough to push people to decide to donate. I know from when I helped with administration of a server for a different game we managed to get donations for advertising just by giving people a "<3" after their name in-game and a separate rank on the forum. |

i am working on a donator's badge for the forum. When someone donates, there will be a small icon under their name showing that they helped contribute to the server fund. this will all happen instantly when you donate and should be implemented soon. just need to figure out some final things first. |
