So I was playing on the sever last night when we were told by an Admin there would be an update, requiring a server re-start. Got back on after, drove around for a while, and came upon a Betty-van with a missing tire. Scoured the surrounding industrial area for about an hour and there was NO LOOT....AT ALL. The area in question was the industrial buildings to the North of the "Lumber Mill". As I said, I spent about an hour there, checking the various industrial buildings in the surrounding area and none of then had any loot at all. Before the restart, I had been in that same area, and loot was spawning/cycling normally. I haven't gotten back on yet, but I'll probably do so a little later.

Well got back on the server a couple of hours later and everything seems to be fine now.

Still having this issue on and off. Not sure what's up.

I will be taking a look tonight, you havent been driving/riding a bike up to the loot points have you? That never works unless you park a long way off....

Last nights update just brought omens sexy new login screen into play and a few new weather tweaks, some additional loot substitutions were added but nothing that should cause the problems you have described.

It was basically me trying to loot cycle a large area(Lumber Mill/Marina) and the loot never re-spawning after I got rid of/moved the items that spawned initially. Or is this intentional? To keep people from lingering in a certain area too long? At least 2-3 times, when I removed all the items that had originally spawned, no new loot spawned withing the next 30-45 min, maybe even an hour.

To farm you need to:


Gather all loot, garbage and good stuff and move it away from its original spawn location. I usually empty my back pack into my vehicle, then use it to gather EVERYTHING. Dump that garbage into a pile like 20ft from any spawn point. I usually make a pile outside somewhere.

Once the spawn points are freed up, you will have to wait 5-10 minutes for new loot to spawn. Your piles will stay on the server until the restart. If you leave loot in the spawn point, it will also stay there until restart and not allow new loot to spawn. You MUST clear it from its original location.
