Ran out of ammo for my..............machete

I'm not a bandit!
As the title says I found a machete, picked it up and got immediately jumped and knocked down by a teleporting zed, when i went to get revenge, 'click,click,click' nothing happened. Pressed F and saw the machete was red and at 0. So it appears I had no ammo and got killed trying to fix it. Anyone else had a similar problem, or know a fix?

I had the same problem with a baseball bat and a machete, the first time I dropped it and gave up, the second time it randomly showed up with ammo after a while. I was frantically shouting fuck and hammering "R" and "F" at the time not sure if that has something to do with it. Hopefully someone knows a reliable fix.

It's been reported by a lot of people though so I'm sure it's a known bug to the mod guys by now, its probably related to the "fix" to stop you having to reload melee weapons....

ah, kk. i didnt think you did because the download counter on the file (latest map - no stalisky bridge) was still at zero. i cant wait. cuz then the nea wont be useless.

I tried with the old file when I first updated the server patch, I'll update it as soon as I figure out the problem

yea, opening and closing your inventory resets your ammo for the melee weapons
