Hi,
since this afternoon i can't play dayz anymore. When i log into my char i get an "Authentication Timeout" after a few seconds. I've already tryed to restart my PC, Steam and verified all my gamedata. I got this problem right after an update on steam. It updated my client to 1.63.124879 and i don't know how to get back the previous version.
I'd be glad if someone would have an idea.

Steam auto-updated the beta patch and totally fucked it up.

Launch the game with dayz commander it and it should launch on the old beta from your expansions folder which is 112555.

This huge mess the beta patches are currently causing should hopefully be over soon :(

If you're using steam and don't want to use dayZ Commander, you can do the following:

- Turn off automatic updates for both DayZ mod and Operation Arrowhead [beta].
- Download the old 112555 beta patch from here.
- Install it. (it might give you a "Wrong CD key" warning, just ignore it.)
- Run DayZ Mod and select the option to "Run with beta patch".

The game should run in 112555 again now. Check the bottom right corner in the main menu to be sure.

It worked for me this way, but then again: It's Arma. So you never know.

I also had the same problem. My solution was to turn off the firewall. (it didn't pop up the windows that arma2oa.exe was changed). I put the .exe file on exclusion list and it works now.
